ELIGIBILITY
*          Shastri of any university or Deemed University recognized by UGC.
*          Pass in 3 years degree course in the concerned subject from one of the following institutions.
           Siromani Final examination of :
                i. Madras University, Madras
                ii. Annamalai University, Annamalai Nagar
Siromani final examination of S.V. University, Tirupati, Sastra Bhushana Final examination of Kerala Government., Vidyapraveena final examination of Andhra University, Waltair., Vidyalankara and Vedalankara examinations of Gurukula Kangeri Viswavidyalaya, Haridwar., Vidwat Madhyama examination of Karnataka Government.
*          B.A(O.L.)/B.A(L)/B.A/B.A(Hons.)/B.O.L/M.A./ equivalent examinations with Sanskrit of all recognized Universities.
*          Any other examinations recognized by the Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan as equivalent to Shastri/Acharya.
*         Students who have passed Graduation Examination or equivalent without Sanskrit will have to either pass an Entrance Test or pass Acharya Bridge             Programme to get admission in Acharya Programme.
SUBJECT
Acharya Programme will be conducted in 3 Shastras i.e. Seperately. [The M.S.P. is planning to launch Acharya Programmes in other Shastras also in future].
RULES TO SELECT THE SUBJECT
1. Those who want to join the Acharya programme may select either Vyakarana Sastra or Sahitya Sastra or Phalita Jyotisha Shastra for the specialization.
2. Those who passed B.A. or equivalent examination of any university with Sanskrit for 200 marks are all allowed to opt Sahitya only at Acharya level.
3. Those who passed Vedalankara or Vidyalankara are eligible to opt Sahitya only.
4. Those who have completed one Acharya in a particular Shastra and now want admission into another Acharya opting another Shastra also have to pass the concerned Acharya Entrance Test or have to complete1 year Acharya Bridge programme successfully.
5. For admission to Acharya programme a student shall be expected to have the knowledge level on the selected Shastra ment at Shastri level.
CONTACT CLASSES
Contact cum counseling classes of two weeks duration in the months Sept., Nov., Jan., March & May will be arranged.
COURSE DESCRIPTION
There will be five papers in each year in Acharya programme. Among the five papers four papers will be of the Shastra opted by the student. The fifth paper in Acharya 1st year will be vedic history and Indian culture. Each paper will be of 100 marks.
